HALL MASTER’S WELCOME ADDRESS

Dear Affiliates,

On behalf of the Hall Council, Management, staff and students, I welcome you to the Kwame Nkrumah Hall, the “Hall of Excellence”. Our Vision is to be a distinguished University Hall of Residence in providing high quality opportunities for academic work and social life. Guided by our motto: ”LEADERSHIP BY EXAMPLE” and the tenets of our vision, our mission is to be a pacesetter in the provision of high quality access to academic and social facilities through appropriate policies, infrastructural development and activities. Kwame Nkrumah Hall has not only become your “home away from home”, it has also been a nurturing ground for students’ personal development.

During your stay with us, you are free to explore the abundant learning opportunities that are open to you.  By being a Kwame Nkrumah Hall affiliate, you have become part of a bigger family. This family will enable you gain opportunities that offer you a world of exciting experiences, academic, personal support, and meaningful networking. I encourage you to embrace all the positive possibilities offered here – to meet new friends, to participate in the wide range of Hall Activities, to reach out to fellow students from the university and the world, to take up leading roles in student bodies and learning communities. We are so glad that you will be a part of it.

Through motivated staff and students, the use of reliable ICT facilities, effective linkages with alumni and other stakeholders, the Hall will constantly strive to create opportunities for sound academic and social environment for all affiliates. We expect you to make reciprocal efforts in maintaining the Hall as a pleasant place for all residents by complying with all rules and regulations, by fostering a sense of community, shouldering your civic responsibilities, respecting personal differences and the rights of other people.

Our dedicated Hall Council, Management, Tutors, CARE Officers, Workers, and JCRC Executives are available to provide you guidance and support.  Please feel free to approach them whenever you need any assistance.
